2007 OGS Annual Conference Research Opportunities in the Columbus Area Ohio Death CertificatesThe Ohio Historical Society will once again be hosting a Death Certificate Copy Center at this year’s conference. Death certificates from 20 December 1908 to 1953 will be available using microfilm reader/printers graciously furnished by Assured Micro Services. Although there will be two index stations in the copy center, conference attendees are encouraged to expedite the process by visiting the online index and getting certificate numbers ahead of time. The online index, which can be located at www.ohiohistory.org/dindex, covers the years 1913 through 1944. The Death Certificate Copy Center will be open during the same hours as the exhibit hall and will be staffed by experienced OHS volunteers.
