May 19 - CANCELLED - Doug Osborne presents "It's All About Time." This program covers 200 years of clock making in America and the results it had on mass production, employment, and marketing. CANCELLED
June 1 Dr. Deborah Abbott, Ph.D. presents Genealogy 101: Using Online Resources 10 a.m.
June 2 Julie Wilson presents "Using Newspapers in Your Research" - Find out what else is out there to add to your family history, you'll never know what gems you are missing if you don't try out those old newspapers! 10 a.m.
July 12 Dr. Deborah Abbott, Ph.D. presents "Shaking the Dust off the Courthouse Records" Learn what records are available and the information found in these records. Download flyer 10 a.m.
July 20 Chris Staats presents "Weaving a Web: Using Internet Resources to Create an Effective Research Plan" - Successful online research may not necessarily mean finding information about your ancestors in a database or online image collection. Download flyer 10 a.m.
July 27 Margaret Cheney presents "Genealogy for Kids" This program will have interactive activities and will be an all day event. Bring a brown bag lunch. Download flyer 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
August 3 Derek Davey presents "Researching your War of 1812 Ancestors" 10 a.m.
August 9 Dr. Deborah Abbott, Ph.D. presents "Researching the Federal Census and Other Overlooked Schedules" with the 1940 Census becoming available, learn what information can be found before it is indexed. 10 a.m.
August 10 Derek Davey presents "Using FamilySearch for your Free Research" learn what FamilySearch has available for records and how to navigate their website. 10 a.m.
September 8 Margaret Cheney presents "Our Dearly Departed." This all day workshop will focus on the dearly departed. Learn how to find wills and estates, obituaries, cemeteries and more. For this workshop there is a $25 registration fee and a limit of 40 registrants. Download flyer 9:30 a.m.
September 14 Sunny Morton presents "Jump Start Your Family History Writing Projects" learn the tricks of putting together your family's story. 10 a.m.
October 5 Dr. Deborah Abbott, Ph.D. presents "Breaking the Brick Wall: Case Studies using Critical Thinking and Methodology" - this session will focus on stategies on how to find ancestors when they don't appear in the Census; if you only have oral history to go by, etc. 10 a.m.
