Gayle Wilson is an Ohio Genealogical Society Trustee (OGS), and Chair of the Strategic Planning Manage Committee. She holds a Business Management degree from Franklin University. Gayle is the President of the Franklin County Genealogical & Historical Society (FCGHS) and a society member for over thirty years; she has served FCGHS in several capacities; as a Representative of the African American Interest Group, Columnist for the Franklintonian Newsletter since 2012, Trustee, and President-Elect.
She loves genealogy and has been an active genealogist since 1990 researching her family back to the Dowdell Plantation in Harris County, Georgia. She was interviewed by The Columbus Dispatch and her family story “Family Ties” is written about in the August 3, 2013 issue. Gayle is a local and national genealogical conference presenter. She’s coordinated more than a dozen family reunions and was selected as the keynote Family Reunion Speaker for Experience Columbus Visitors Bureau, in Columbus, OH for their 2013, 2014, and 2015 Annual Family Reunion Seminar. Gayle Wilson is a lifelong resident of Columbus, Ohio.
