Search and Ye Shall Find

Our new OGS website design – www.ogs.org – was launched in May 2020 and our Digital Librarian, Linda Swanson, has been adding material that we digitized during the planning stages, over 260 items so far. With the pandemic keeping us at home, new content like this is just what our members want!

Just log in as a member and go to Digitized Books or Digitized Manuscripts under the Genealogy Resources tab. The general search box is there as a marketing tool to draw people in who are new to our website. We can also filter items by county, subject or surname and the new titles will be intertwined alphabetically. “Search and ye shall find”, but sometimes simply browsing the new additions is quicker. We will keep you up-to-date on new content every so often. The following are search terms, not necessarily the actual title of the work. Filtering for the county, subject or surname mentioned in the appropriate section works best. The subject for general Ohio is “State of Ohio” at the end of the Geography filter list.
