Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy – Forensic Genealogy

March 28 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm EDT

The Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy (CAFG) is pleased to announce the first of four webinars for forensic genealogists and the genealogical community at large. On March 28th CAFG will present Juli Whitaker’s lecture, Forensic Genealogy. Have you ever wondered what type of work forensic genealogists do?

In this webinar you will get to learn about all the areas of work a forensic genealogist is hired for and an example of what their work looks like. You will get to walk through a case step by step so you can see the types of records a forensic genealogist uses on a daily basis and how to analyze what is in those documents. The webinar will end with you seeing what a Forensic Report looks like.

Juli Whittaker, FGCSM, is a credentialed forensic genealogist through the Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy. She specializes in military repatriation and next of kin cases. She has over 20 years of experience in the genealogy field with the past 10 years specializing in forensic genealogy.

The Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy (CAFG) is a professional business league dedicated to advancing public awareness and understanding of the Forensic Genealogy profession while promoting and maintaining high standards of professional and ethical conduct. CAFG encourages best practices in client services and promotes the interchange of information among members through electronic forums, meetings and seminars, and trade publications.
