The process of digitization involves more than just scanning papers to convert them into digital files. It requires striking the right balance between time, costs, and best practices to make resources available on the internet while safeguarding the digital files themselves. Linda Swanson, OGS Library Collections Manager who specializes in digital librarianship, will discuss how OGS digitizes materials and the unseen work behind the process. Employing some of her suggestions can improve the digitization and preservation of Members’ and Chapters’ documents as well.
