Lorain County Chapter – Ohio Genealogy Program

On Monday, April 8, at 7 pm, the Lorain County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogy Society is pleased to present a virtual program by Jill Morelli, a renowned Certified Genealogist, writer, lecturer, and co-founder of Applied Genealogy Institute. During the event, Jill will explore the impact of weather on our ancestors’ lives through her presentation “Whether the Weather: How Weather Affected our Ancestors.”

Jill will delve into major weather events and natural disasters that influenced our ancestors’ decision-making. In addition, she will discuss the history of the weather service and how it played a role in migration decision-making.

OGS is sponsoring its genealogical writing contest to reward amateur and professional genealogical authorship and to help fill the pages of its renowned journals with articles.
