OGS Librarian Day

March 31 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm EDT

$25.00

The Ohio Genealogical Society is once again offering Librarian’s Day at the Samuel D. Isaly Library in Bellville, Ohio. The theme of this year’s program is “Back to Basics” with presentations for librarians about how they can assist their patrons with conducting genealogical research in their own libraries. Additionally, attendees will tour the OGS Samuel D. Isaly Library and the OGS Lyle H. West Archives to better understand the resources available through the Ohio Genealogical Society. Box lunches will be available for an additional charge.

Presenters:

Helpful Genealogy Tips for Yourself and Others – Susan Matthews is the President of the Marion chapter, a DAR member, started researching while she was just a kid, and has worked in many offices that hold genealogy records including Vital Statistics, Family Court and Probate Court.

Online Resources for Genealogists – Deborah Kitko has been employed as a full-time genealogy librarian for nearly 25 years with the Wayne County Public Library in Wooster, Ohio.
