DESCRIPTION:This case study illustrates how following the Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS) to collect records and correlate evidence helps trace a Pennsylvania family’s possible movement to Ohio and Indiana. The Colglazier family\, said to be of Westmoreland County\, Pennsylvania\, is traced through land\, probate\, census\, tax lists\, and military records to find if they are indeed the same family who moved west. Exhibitors include\, to name a few\, OGS chapters from Fairfield and Muskingum counties\, Hetuck Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution\, Benjamin Franklin Chapter Sons of the American Revolution\, and heritage organizations Daughters of Erin (Irish)\, Palatines to Columbus (German)\, Sons and Daughters of Italy (Italian)\, Melungeon (tri-race). There will also be Licking County OGS’s Military Committee as well as Lineage Committee. The list will be expanded throughout 2026. \n
