For a prepaid, non-refundable service fee, the Ohio Genealogical Society staff and its volunteers will perform a lookup in a book, resource, or collection in the OGS Library and return copies of any relevant information found. For OGS Members, the fee is $5 per request; for non-members, the fee is $20 per request. The service fee includes:
- Labor
- The first 10 pages of copies
- Return postage
Additional pages are billed at 20 cents per page. Patrons will be contacted in advance if additional payment is needed to complete the request.
OGS Staff and Volunteers can do a lookup in only the holdings of the OGS Library. The Library’s holdings can be found through:
- Library Catalog
- Ancestor Database Search (ancestor charts; surname files)
- Database Search (OGS Bible Records only)
- Archive collections in Library Special Collections. Not all archival collections are available for copy service at this time.
