Geauga County Genealogical Society – Using AI and Other Genealogy Innovations
This program is a part of the monthly Ohio 250th Commission themes celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary: Ohio Works Innovation & Industry.
This is a ZOOM only program
“Using AI and Other Genealogy Innovations” led by Alan Jones, a retired computer software engineer, began genealogy research with a hand-cranked microfilm reader. Now, he tests new FamilySearch features and genealogy software programs, indexes records and volunteers at the Kirtland Family Search Center.
Don’t let technology scare you away from family research. The latest innovations actually make family research easier and more fun, if Alan Jones is your guide! Bring your questions.
There will be a short business meeting at 7:00pm with the program to follow. You will need to pre-register through the Chardon Public Library (geaugalibrary.libcal.com) or the GCGS website, under Programs. You will receive a link in order to join the program. Event URL will be sent via registration email.
