Jared Mansfield Chapter DAR has been blessed by its proximity to the Ohio Genealogical Society. For years our chapter members have been volunteers for various projects at OGS. The time has come to bring the two resources together to offer research and application assistance to lineage societies who are finding an increased interest in membership following America’s 250th Birthday.

Anyone interested in moving forward with research for an application or supplemental application (or just plain research) is invited to receive assistance, including for societies such as:

• Daughters of the American Revolution
• The War of 1812
• American Colonists
• Union Veterans of the Civil War
• The Indian Wars
• Mayflower Descendants
• and others!

This is NOT a presentation or program, just an opportunity to do research with assistance, if needed. It is $5 a day to use the OGS Library’s resources for those who are not already members of the OGS, but the research assistance is at no charge. Bring with you any computers or devices you use for your genealogy research. Members, prospective members, and registrars of lineage societies are welcome to join us!
