The Lake County Genealogical Society will be meeting on January 29th at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8751 Kirtland Road (Rt. 306), Kirtland, Ohio. Following the business meeting will be the induction of new officers, then an informative program presented by John Tracy Cunningham, and concluding with a book auction pertaining to family history, and a semi-catered luncheon by Mission BBQ. The main dishes will be provided, and members are encouraged to bring a salad or dessert. The program will be “FamilySearch 201-Intermediate Topics” led by John Tracy Cunningham. Many use the FamilySearch website for family history research in the building of family trees. His presentation will cover treatment of living persons in your tree, connecting your line to deceased ancestors already in the tree, changing person and relationship information, correcting data problems, and the use of the Family Tree Validator.

Mr. Cunningham is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a lifelong genealogist and historian with a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois. He is retired from the Air Force and has been a defense contractor in Germany. He is a Trustee of the Ohio Genealogical Society, President of the North East Ohio Computer-Aided Genealogy Society (NEOCAG), and several other chapters and societies.
