Join Scioto County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society (SCCOGS) in August for a special in-person meeting featuring a guided tour of the Scioto County Library’s Genealogy Department! 1220 Gallia St, Portsmouth, OH 45662.
We will meet in the Copley Room as usual and then go to the Genealogy Department.
Discover research aids, valuable resources, and hidden gems that many family history researchers may not even know are available. You just might find the clue that helps break through your next brick wall!
Following the tour, we’ll return to the Copley Room for our regular business meeting.

OGN Contest 1 July – 30 September
OGSQ Contest 1 September – 31 December
OGS is sponsoring its genealogical writing contest to reward amateur and professional genealogical authorship and to help fill the pages of its renowned journals with articles.
