Warren County – “Is There a Tartan in Your Tree? Exploring Scottish Roots” presented by Debbie Large

Before hosting your first Robert Burns party, purchasing that tartan or kilt, or planning some Highland games at your next family reunion, learn how to navigate the amazing record collections available for researching your Scottish roots. This lecture will demonstrate strategies to help discover your Scottish ancestors. Learn about some of the key record collections available through various online repositories including Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.org, along with others that are based in the United Kingdom such as Scotland’s People. The handout provides some “getting started” research books and links for all the websites included in this lecture, and tips to help connect your family to Scotland.
