The Canal That Created Cleveland

April 9 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

This is an in-person event presented by Judy MacKeigan, Cleveland Metropark’s Historian/Archivist. The opening of the Ohio and Erie Canal created an economic boom for entrepreneurs and Ohio farmers to ship products east, while “fancy eastern goods” became available to Ohioans. Enjoy the history of the “Big Ditch’ and its impact on Northeastern Ohio.
