The resources on this page relate to Ohio’s participation in the Civil War, made available digitally from materials in the Samuel D. Isaly Library. Within Search Database is a roster of Ohio soldiers and sailors in the Civil War.

OGS has two lineage societies which include Civil War ancestors: Society of Civil War Families of Ohio (SCWFO), which ceased in 2024, and the Military Order of the Daughters and Sons of Ohio (MODSO). Rosters for both are found below.
