Steve Sinsabaugh is an engineer at Lockheed Martin, where he currently leads multiple proposal efforts. He holds a BS (1984) and MS (1986) in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics from Case Western Reserve University. Designated an LM Fellow, Steve holds 8 U.S. and several international patents in areas including battery materials and innovative airship architectures. He is a co-author of peer-reviewed journal articles and a book chapter on silicon technology.

Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Steve married Cleveland native Cathleen Conti; they have two adult children and reside in Broadview Heights after living in various Ohio locations and Maryland. They enjoy travel, particularly to tropical destinations.

Steve began genealogy at age 13, when his grandparents drove him to rural cemeteries in eastern Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, and he self-published his first family history that year using his grandmother’s Underwood typewriter. His research has focused on tracing all Sensebach (original spelling) families from 16th-century Germany through colonial America and into the U.S. and Canada. Leveraging his skills in writing, graphics, and desktop publishing, he has authored eight books on the lineage, now produced via print-on-demand technology (see www.lulu.com/spotlight/SteveSinsabaugh).

As a new member of the Ohio Genealogical Society Board of Trustees, Steve is leading the transition to print-on-demand options for books and periodicals, complementing OGS’s shift to digital distribution. He brings extensive experience in self-publishing, as well as expertise in writing, editing, and team leadership from his career in new business proposals.
