Zoom Meetings – A New Benefit for Chapters!

The Ohio Genealogical Society is pleased to announce the use of our multi-license Zoom account to approved Chapters and Affiliates of OGS. If your society requires the use of Zoom to host a meeting related to your chapter, including educational sessions for your members, you may reserve a time slot to use our community Zoom license.

Requests should be sent to [email protected]. Your request should include the date, time, and title or topic of the meeting including who (chapter or affiliate) is hosting the meeting. When approved, you will receive a copy of the invitation to send to your attendees, along with a secure password for the Zoom host to log in. Meetings can be recorded, transcribed, and summarized using all of our Zoom tools provided.

Time slots are on a first come, first served request. We have a more detailed process sheet, along with hints and tips for a smooth meeting that will be sent along with your meeting confirmation. OGS however, can’t be responsible for training your host or attendees on the use of Zoom. Personal use or sharing of any content, passwords, or other security tools outside of our intended use is strictly forbidden. OGS reserves the right to revoke the privileges of a society that does not follow appropriate security or other forms of abuse deemed unacceptable by OGS.
