Clermont County Chapter – DNA and its use in genealogical research – Part I

February 3 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST

Virtual Meeting
Presenter: Eric Migdal
This is part 1 of a two-part program. The program highlights the understanding of genetic genealogy for use in your research of your family, using a few of the presenter’s DNA matches. Eric will show how to use information found on family trees and researching the facts to expand your family tree and place your DNA matches in the correct positions. This will show the true family connection. He will also show how to color code your DNA matches, assign relationships and link your matches to a family tree.
Eric is an eleven-year resident of Pompton Lakes NJ. He’s happily married with a son, a daughter, and a bonus son. He’s been doing family history research for 30 years, assisting clients with family tree building, DNA test analysis, safely and effectively contacting unknown family members.
As an adoptee, he spent many years searching for his biological family with very few results. His starting information was wrong and the assumptions he made were incorrect. He used DNA testing to assist him with finding the truth about his family and it ultimately led him to the correct family.
CCGS members will be emailed an invitation and instructions one week prior to the event. If you do not receive an email and wish to attend, please contact us by the day before the meeting at [email protected] or by calling (513) 723-3423.
