The Firelands Genealogical Society will hold its annual meeting and awards dinner on Monday, April 22nd, at 6:00 PM at the Norwalk Elks Lodge #730, 2949 St. Rt. 250, Norwalk. The speaker, William “Fireman Bill” Knadler will talk about early stocks and bonds in Huron County with an emphasis on railroad stocks. He has been collecting bonds and certificates, as a scripophilist, for over 30 years. New applicants to the Huron and Erie County First Families, Civil War, and Deceased Military lineage groups will be honored. There is a $20 per person fee for this meeting, as it includes a honey roasted chicken dinner.
