Geauga County Genealogical Society Field Trip
Field Trip for Members and their Guests Only.
“How Our Ancestors Used NE Ohio’s Natural Resources” Field Trip to the Kirtland Ashery, Sawmill, and Quarry.
We will visit the only restored Ashery in the U.S. located in Historic Kirtland, a completely restored sawmill and the
quarry used to build the Kirtland Temple.
We will first meet at the Morley Farm, at 8605 Chillicothe Road, at 6:00 p.m. at the shelter. Bring a
packed meal. A brief meeting will be held while we enjoy our meal and friends. Water and finger-food
dessert will be provided.
Members – watch your email for directions. Reservations not needed!

OGS is sponsoring its genealogical writing contest to reward amateur and professional genealogical authorship and to help fill the pages of its renowned journals with articles.
