Submit Your Genealogy Program or Event to the OGS Event Calendar
Over the last several months we have been working on making improvements to the user experience for the OGS website. One of those recent improvements was an updated OGS event calendar that will now allow for OGS Chapters and Libraries to submit their genealogical events or programs directly to the calendar using an easy to fill out online form.
To use this new feature:
1 – Visit the OGS Event Calendar page at https://www.ogs.org/events/
2 – Scroll to the bottom of the page
3 – Click on the text “Chapters & Libraries: Click here to add your own event to our calendar!” to be taken to the online form.
4 – Submit your event.
Once your event is submitted electronically, it will be reviewed by staff for accuracy and then posted on the calendar and visible to anyone viewing the calendar. We are planning on hosting a future webinar on how to use all of the features of this update; but in the meantime, we have decided to make it available immediately for use.
It’s easy and part of our continuing effort to aid OGS Chapters in reaching as many potential members and supporters as possible. We’re looking forward to seeing all of your programs and events on the OGS event calendar!
